The story starts back some years before 1922, when the founder Mr Egisto Paradisi takes a small restaurant to turn into an excellent one. La Rosetta Restaurant is born exactly on March 1st, 1922. Cav. Paradisi and his wife Lisetta (she loved roses, that’s why the name Rosetta) start their activity with just seven rooms.
Year by year La Rosetta becomes one of the best hotel and restaurant in Italy, well known all over the world.
Many famous guests stayed at La Rosetta as Primo Carnera, Trilussa, Tazio Nuvolari, Edoardo and Peppino De Filippo, Luca De Filippo, Ezra Pound, Paolo Stoppa,Vanda Osiris, Walter Chiari, Italian Presidents Gronchi, Segni, Pertini and Cossiga.
Umbria Jazz Festival chooses Hotel La Rosetta as the base for its office. Again, many famous artists stayed at La Rosetta as Gil Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Steve Grossman, Branford Marsalis and more. It continues to host great Italian and foreign musicians, most of all for its strategic position during the Umbria Jazz Festival.
In 2017 La Rosetta has took over by a young hotel group to give back enthusiasm and relaunch.
